Wow! This design is pretty much identical to the 1967 Polish poster for Doktor Freud by Maciej Zbikowski!
Wow is right. I never really know what to think when I see things like that side by side.
That's the point of the series: to reference the history of the printed word. Baskerville's Bible for 'Christians and the Fall of Rome', Bodoni's Manuale Tipografico for 'The Pleasure of Hating', etc. etc.

Imaginative and thought provoking....Pearson has painted the man himself as he was that too right on the cover....hats off to Pearson for a great idea for a great man....
This is a fantastic cover design that manages to capture the iconic elements of Lincoln, making him instantly recognizable with only his eyes. Amazing work.
